Patricia J. Luedtke, age 78, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Sunday evening, February 20, 2011 at the family residence with her family by her side.
Pat was born on May 1, 1932 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Christian and Anna Chartrand Olson. Pat was a graduate of Eau Claire High School in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She had been employed as a teacher's aid with the Valders and Manitowoc Public School Systems. On July 5, 1951 she married William J. Luedtke at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Pat was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and had been a volunteer at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. She enjoyed following her children and grandchildren with their participation in sporting events.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Bill; seven sons: Mike (Donna) Luedtke, Manitowoc; Bill (Mary Ellen) Luedtke, Manitowoc; David (Kathy) Luedtke, Appleton, WI; Jon Luedtke and special friend Sue Valentine, Manitowoc; Al (Tina) Luedtke, Manitowoc; Charles "Chip" (Brigitte) Luedtke, Manitowoc; Patrick "PJ" (Tammy) Luedtke, Manitowoc; two daughters: Mary Lynn (Mark) Kinzel, Manitowoc; Ann (Morgan) Wegner, White Lake, WI; son-in-law: Harold "Rob" Barbeau, Manitowoc, WI; 24 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; three brothers: John "Jack" (Joyce) Olson, Birchwood, WI; Gerald (Bonnie) Olson, Eau Claire, WI; Ted (Edyth) Olson, Cottage Grove, MN; two sisters: Lucy (Donald) Walker, Raddison, WI; Maryann (Roger) Biesterveld, Eau Claire, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Kristeen Barbeau on February 12, 2009.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Daniel Felton with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 P.M. led by Deacon Paul Kieffer. The visitation will continue on Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services at 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in Pat's name.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
