Patrick J. Rappel's Obituary
Patrick J. Rappel, age 63, a resident of Glendale, entered eternal life on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon.
Patrick was born in Manitowoc on August 12, 1952 to Dorris Bergner Rappel and the late John F. Rappel. He graduated from Roncalli High School with the class of 1970. Patrick completed his education by receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary's College in Winona, MN and a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. He had an extensive career in nursing in the Milwaukee area. Patrick loved reading, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the great outdoors.
Patrick is survived by his mother: Dorris Rappel, Manitowoc; one sister and brother-in-law: Leatrice (John) Crawford, Liverpool, NY; one brother and sister-in-law: John (Danielle) Rappel, Hyattsville, MD; two nephews: Aaron Crawford, Denver, CO; and Christopher Crawford, serving in the Middle East; two nieces: Martha Crawford, Syracuse, NY; and Allie Rappel, Hyattsville, MD, also other relatives and friends. Patrick was preceded in death by his father: John F. Rappel; and beloved dog: Mandy.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Calvary Mausoleum Chapel, 2601 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. David Begner. Relatives and friends may call at Calvary Mausoleum Chapel on Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with Patrick's cremated remains to be placed along side his father at Calvary Mausoleum. Following the memorial service a luncheon will be held for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home & Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Patrick's name.
