Obituary

Paul "Hoofer" Hoffman, age 72, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay.

Paul was born on November 14, 1950 in Two Rivers to the late Robert and Angeline (Duckett) Hoffman.  He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1968.  Paul then attended Lakeshore Technical College where he studied accounting until he was drafted into the United States Army.  He was stationed overseas in Germany during the Vietnam War and served his country until his honorable discharge.  Upon his return home, he worked at Eck Industries for a few years until joining the family masonry business, Hoffman Masonry.  Paul took pride in working as a mason for over 50 years alongside his father and brother.  On September 20, 1986, Paul married Paulette Daufen at First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. He enjoyed spending his free time hunting, travelling and fishing with his wife, beekeeping, tending to his fruit trees, and taking walks in state parks with his dog, Cody.  Paul was a member of the Manitowoc County Master Builders Association and NEWGLSF.

Survivors include Paul's wife, Paulette; two sons, Kief (Christy) Giblin and Chris Giblin; two granddaughters, Ripley (James) and Rayla; three siblings, Anthony (Maureen) Hoffman Sr., Linda Wolfert, and Kay (Steve) Pierce; sister-in-law, Laurie Hoffman; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Angeline Hoffman; brother, Kevin; and nephew, Anthony M. Hoffman Jr.

A Life Celebration Social for family and friends will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.  The Life Celebration Social will conclude at 7 p.m. with military rites accorded by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 731.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

Paul was a good guy and will be greatly missed.
