Paul H. LaChappelle Jr., age 48, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life while surrounded by family on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Paul was born on May 3, 1973 in Two Rivers to the late Paul Sr. and Nancy (Meyer) LaChappelle. He graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1991, and was currently working on obtaining his Associate Degree in Manufacturing Management from Lakeshore Technical College. On December 17, 1993, Paul married Darci McDonald in Manitowoc. While he had worked at various manufacturing companies, Paul was currently employed at TNT Crust in Green Bay. He enjoyed watching all Wisconsin sports with his boys. Paul was a very kind and giving person. He would find ways to express that through cooking for others, delivering surprise gifts, and random acts of kindness and generosity. Paul also enjoyed going on weekend family getaways to various places in northern Wisconsin. He always found contentment and happiness in the simple things in life. Above all, Paul enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.
Survivors include Paul's wife of 27 years, Darci; two sons, Ryan LaChappelle and his girlfriend, Emerald, and Nicholas LaChappelle, all of Manitowoc; five siblings, Brian LaChappelle and his special friend, Lisa, Manitowoc; LuAnn LaChappelle, Manitowoc; Bennett (Ann) LaChappelle, Little Sturgeon; Linda (Al) Johnson, Tulsa, OK; and Brett (Sherrie) LaChappelle, Two Rivers; his black lab, Miyah; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Paul also had a special place in his heart for his "Little Shyster". Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Nancy LaChappelle; brother, Bradley LaChappelle; infant sister, Lynette LaChappelle; and his dogs, Sammie and Abbie.
A Life Celebration Social for relatives and friends will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
