Paul Victor Wanek, age 84, passed away quietly at his home on Friday, February 18, 2022.  He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and earned his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada.  Paul was a member of the Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers, Fox River Valley chapter, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus.  His professional career spanned decades having worked for the likes of General Electric, Motorola, and Rockwell International.  His hobbies were ham radio and a passion for golfing.

Paul is survived by his three children, Marianne Capra, Michael Wanek, and John Wanek; three grandchildren, Wren and Lucy Capra and Michelle Wanek.  His was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Marcella (Witak) Wanek.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Deacon Alan Boeldt officiating.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of the urn in Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.  Following the memorial service, a reception will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com .
