Paula L. Haluska's Obituary
Paula L. Haluska, beloved wife and mother, age 62, a resident of Newton, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at her residence.
Paula was born on January 5, 1948 in Waukegan, IL to the late Martin and Marian Johnson Sorensen. On September 13, 1969 Paula married Dan Haluska in Waukegan, IL. Paula and Dan were partners in both life and employment. Later in life, Paula was employed at St. Mary's Nursing Home. She enjoyed spending her time outdoors, being with animals and volunteering at the Manitowoc Humane Society. Above all, Paula cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends – especially her granddaughter Ava.
Survivors include her husband: Dan; 2 daughters: Nicole (Jason) Bierman and Bridget Haluska; one granddaughter: Ava Bierman; mother-in-law: Ruth Sproch; 3 sisters-in-law: Carol (Jim) Banach, Mary Ruth Sproch, and Diane (Jim) Wilkerson; also nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
According to Paula's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no memorial service.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangement.
The family requests that any memorials please be made to either the Manitowoc Humane Society or the Manitowoc Lincoln Park Zoo.
