Obituary

Pauline E. Graebel, age 96, a resident at The Gardens at Felician Village, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, February 17, 2014 at her residence.

Pauline was born August 31, 1917 in Gresham, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur N. and Esther Pelky Huntington. Pauline was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1935. She continued her education at the Manitowoc Teachers College and Silver Lake College receiving her degree in education. She was employed at Mirro Aluminum and Manitowoc Shipbuilding. On June 8, 1940 she married Lester Graebel at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1994. Pauline was a active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and also was a member of the St. Clair Society, Daughters of Isabella, and the AAUW Book Group.

She is survived by three children: Jacqueline Stojonic, Woodstock, Illinois; Lester J. (Jerry) and Kathy Graebel, Manitowoc, Wisconsin; Joanne and Jose Rodriguez, Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren: Raymond, Paul and Jeannine Stojonic; Philip Graebel and Emily Howe; Jody Khan and Jennifer Rodriguez; fifteen great grandchildren: Tommy, Jasmine, Samantha, Brittney, Jesse, Myla, James, Gavin, Ethan, Noah, Grace, Bryce, Elly, Kate, and Jacob; one great great granddaughter: Camila; one sister and brother-in-law: Kathleen and Dennis Ryan, Manitowoc, Wisconsin; brother and sister-in-law: Theodore and Clair Huntington, Annalopis, Maryland; sister-in-law: Margaret Huntington, Manitowoc, Wisconsin; brother-in-law: Wes Jolin, Two Rivers, Wisconsin; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Wilbur N. and Esther Huntington; husband: Lester; two brothers: Wilber and Reuben Huntington; three sisters: Wilma Budysz, Angeline Hernandez, and Betty Jolin.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Following the committal services at Evergreen Cemetery there will be a luncheon for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Pauline's name to Holy Family Memorial Hospice in Manitowoc.
