Peter F. Zettel, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on April 11, 2026. He was born in Manitowoc on December 31, 1959, to Robert Zettel and Evelyn Johnson. He attended Lincoln High School and was part of the Class of 1978. For the better part of his adult life, Peter was a CNC Machinist. He was a very proud father to his four children. Known as Pete, he loved fishing, classic cars, motor cycles, classic rock, and giving his fatherly advice.

Pete is survived by his children Christopher Zettel, Jennifer (Nathan Jergenson) Zettel, Nicole (Thomas Troyer) Leider, and Paige Zettel; grandchildren Caden, Zander, Bentley, Skyler, Oden, and Emelyn; siblings David (Lisa) Zettel, Cindy (Brian) Schwahert, Candy (Gary Doherty) Zettel, and Karen (Randy) Malzahn; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and his goldfish Sparky. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Zettel and Evelyn Johnson, and his special friend Connie.

Cremation has occurred at Harrigan Parkside Crematory Chapel. A Celebration of Pete’s Life will be held at Lincoln Park – Cabin 1, 1215 N. 8th St., Manitowoc, on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Shaelynn and the staff at Meadowview Assisted Living for their compassionate care of Pete.
