Phyllis M. Doersch died peacefully on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Phyllis was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.  In all those roles, she was encouraging, generous, and caring. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

As the daughter of Clarence and Helen Diedrich, Phyllis grew up in Two Rivers with her older sister, Marilyn, and her younger brother, Doug. Phyllis married Richard C. Doersch in September 1963. She and Richard started a family and eventually moved to Arlington Heights, Illinois, where they raised three daughters, Katherine, Patricia, and Diane.

She filled her life with her loves of gardening, art, nature, exercise, and her family. Occasions where she could combine these loves were sources of great joy and lifelong memories. After her husband retired, she and Richard returned to Wisconsin, moving to Cleveland. There, Phyllis nurtured a glorious flower garden and her regularly-visiting brood of grandchildren.  She was also the best travel companion, and those fortunate enough to travel with her hold dear memories of trips across Europe and the Caribbean, as well as places closer to home like her beloved Door County.

Near the end of her life, Phyllis joined the kind and caring community at Azura in Manitowoc, where residents and caregivers quickly came to appreciate her sense of humor and generous heart.
