Preston W. Koch's Obituary
Preston W. Koch, age 23, a resident of Manitowoc, fell asleep on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his residence and is awaiting the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Preston was born on June 19, 1990 in Two Rivers to Jason and Susan Wegforth Koch. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 2008 and maintained a 4.0 G.P.A. throughout. Preston completed his education by obtaining his bachelors degree with top honors in civil engineering and completed physics teacher education from Marquette University in 2013. He was employed with DeBauche Communication & Consulting Services in Green Bay.
His time with us was short, but Preston's life touched so many, he will forever live on in our hearts and minds. He was more than just a son, a brother, a friend. He was a gift from God whom we thank for every day that we were blessed to be a part of Preston's life. He was relentlessly determined in everything he set his mind to. He put his whole heart, soul, mind, and strength into his relationships, his education, and his work. He enjoyed experiencing life to its full as much as he could; learning to play the piano and guitar, singing and music theory, scuba diving, reaching his highest physical potential. Preston was selfless in his pursuits, giving all that he was to make those he loved feel special and honored. He was a giver, and his life is a shining example, an inspiration to others, to bring themselves up higher.
Survivors include Preston's parents: Jason and Susie Koch; brother: Jared Koch; sister: Samara Koch; maternal grandmother: Shirley Wegforth; four uncles: Roger Wegforth, Tom (Laurie) Wegforth, Bill Wegforth, and Hilary (Barbara) Koch, Jr.; also other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2013 from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Lyndon Sumlin officiating. Cremation will have taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home & Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Preston's name.
