Priscilla "Shelley" Ruth Everett Richardson, age 89, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away July 1, 2024 at St. Mary's Nursing Home, Manitowoc, WI.
Shelley was born April 6, 1935 in Norwood, Massachusetts, daughter of Shirlie Marie Brown Everett and Carl Percy Everett. She graduated from Brown University in 1957.
Shelley is survived by her two daughters: Pamela (John) Goff, Ohatchee, AL, and Jennifer Schmoldt, Manitowoc, WI; her son-in-law Peter Klevitch, Somersworth, NH, five grandchildren: Joshua (Tina) Schmoldt, Waunakee, WI, Nicholas Schmoldt (Jensen), Manitowoc, WI, Evan Schmoldt, Reedsville, WI, Alexandre (Emily) Klevitch, Rochester, NH and Andrew Klevitch, Jacksonville, FL; one great granddaughter Luna Kathleen Schmoldt and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Donald Fales Everett, her husband of 32 years, David S. Richardson and her daughter Gwendolyn Ruth Busell Klevitch.
Shelley retired as Director of Medical Records at Seacoast Mental Health Center in Portsmouth, NH. She enjoyed baking, sewing, knitting, tutoring elementary school students and traveling. He favorite destination was Switzerland. She was a member and long-time secretary at St. George's Episcopal Church in Durham, NH and is most proud of her St. George medal. After moving to Manitowoc, she was part of the Angel Association at the Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life for relatives and friends will be held on July 6, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc. There will be a graveside committal service at St. George's Episcopal Church in Durham, New Hampshire at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends and family members make a donation in Shelley's name to The Jackson Laboratory, 600 Main Street, Bar Harbor, ME 04609 or to your favorite food pantry.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Court at Felician Village for their care and compassion shown to Shelley and her family. They also want to thank St. Mary's Nursing Home and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the care Shelley received.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
