Obituary

Ralph E. Coman, age 78, a resident of Ocala, FL, passed away with his daughter by his side on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Manitowoc.

Ralph was born on March 4, 1943 in Miami, FL to the late William and Kathryn (Stoner) Coman.  He graduated from Miami Norland Senior High School with the class of 1961.  Ralph then went on to study banking at LSU.  He spent all of his career at many different positions in banking.  Ralph enjoyed the years before retirement in which he specialized in securities and fraud.  In his retirement, he moved to a portion of the family farm in Ocala, FL and spent his days raising cattle, riding his tractors, and building fence.  For the last 12 days of his life, Ralph was privileged to be surrounded by his family – something that was very important to him.

Survivors include Ralph's three children, Chrissy (Terry) York, Manitowoc, WI; Suzy (Todd) VonKutzleben, Oxford, GA; and John (Jennifer) Coman, Buchanan, GA; seven grandchildren, Becca, Sam, Austin, Ashleigh, Karlie, John Jr., and Makynzie; one great granddaughter and another on the way, Reagan and Baby "E"; also other relatives and friends.  Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, William and Kathryn Coman; and two brothers, Mervin and Ronnie Coman.

In respect with Ralph's wishes, a private celebration of his life will be held at a later date in Georgia.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel, Manitowoc, WI.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

Ralph's family would like to extend their thanks to the caring staff and therapy department at TimberRidge Rehab in Ocala, FL.  Also, special thanks to Ralph's neighbor Will Martins for all of the care and friendship he provided.  Ralph said on many occasions, "He was the best neighbor and friend a guy could ever have."  Last, but certainly not least, a big thank you to the wonderful ladies at Bob Evans Restaurant in Ocala, FL for all of their help and devoted friendship.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 North Water Street, Manitowoc, WI 54220 is assisting the family with arrangements.
