Raymond R. Greig, born on January 18, 1947, in Madison, WI, passed away on December 14, 2025, at Shady Lane Nursing Home in Manitowoc, WI. He was a beloved partner, father, and grandfather, known for his dedication to family and community.
Raymond graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965 and went on to earn his law degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1971. He served as an attorney and Family Court Commissioner, making significant contributions to the legal community.
He was an active member of the Manitowoc Rotary Club, the Civil War Roundtable, and the Lakeshore United Methodist Church. Raymond had a passion for photography and enjoyed playing slots at casinos. In previous years, Ray enjoyed playing bridge and was quite good at it. He became a Life Master at the age of 18.
He is survived by his significant other of 29 years, Kathleen Krueger; his son, Richard Greig of Boise, ID; step-daughters, Julie (Stanley Eis) Decko of Boise, ID, and Kathy (Wayne) Sawdy of McCall, ID; grandchildren, Emery Eis, Mason Eis, Olivia Sawdy (Kamron) Nay, and Remy Sawdy; niece Lisa (Chris) Post, and their children Laura and Jack; and great nephew of Kathy, Michael Goyette of Columbus, OH.
Raymond was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Greig Dvorachek; brother-in-law, Paul Dvorachek; and his parents, Helen Roberts Greig and Richard Greig.
A visitation will be held at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11 AM, followed by a service at 11 AM officiated by Rev. Cherie Forret. A luncheon will follow at Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, located to the south of the funeral home. The burial of the urn will take place at a later date at Knollwood Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Shady Lane Nursing Home and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care of Ray.
