Rebecca A. Janssen, age 37, a resident of Manitowoc, formerly of Chicago, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

Becky was born on September 5, 1975 in Chicago. She graduated from Schurz High School in Chicago with the class of 1994. On May 15, 1998, Becky married Jake Janssen in Chicago. Her life centered around her family. She enjoyed caring for her husband and children and spent all of her time with them.

Becky is survived by her husband of 15 years: Jake; two children: Erik and Megan; mother: Rose Guenther; brother: James Elder; sister: Katie Elder; nephew: Cylas Elder; niece: Jamie Crowley; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Jac and Mary Janssen; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Jason and Jeannie Crowley; other relatives and friends. Becky was preceded in death by her sister: Ronda Elder.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Deacon Paul Kieffer will officiate and cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel at a later date. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
