Richard J. Hall

Richard James Hall, age 86, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at his home.

Richard was born on February 27, 1940, in Manitowoc, to the late Samuel Hall and Lorraine (Milske) Carrol. Richard graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1958 and served in the United States Navy until his honorable discharge. Richard then spent his career working for Wisconsin Telephone Company/AT&T. In his free time, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed socializing at the Manitowoc Yacht Club. He also spent a lot of time volunteering in the community, both with Habitat for Humanity and Meals on Wheels. Richard was an active member of St. James Episcopal Church and had been involved on the Vespery Board.

Richard is survived by his three children: Rhonda (Pat) Schultz, Scott Hall, Kurt Hall; grandchildren: Katherine Hall, Dakota Hall, Collin West, Tanner Schultz, Dana Hall, Ian Hall; many great-grandchildren; special friend: Bonnie Tassell; siblings: Marie Hall (Thomas), Joseph Hall (Barbara), Corinne Ayotte (Thomas), William Hall, John Hall (Barb), Patrick Hall (Lori), Michael Hall (Patsy); and special cousin: Gary (Kathy) Milske. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel Hall and Lorraine Carrol and his son: Joseph Hall.

Private family services were held in accordance with Richard’s wishes.
