Obituary

Robert G. "Bob" Kutil, age 85, of Branch in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, entered eternal life late Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2015 at the family residence after a battle with cancer.

Bob was born on July 23, 1929 in Branch, town of Manitowoc Rapids. He was the son of the late Joseph and Isabel (Laveck) Kutil. Bob graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1947. After high school he served with the United States Navy and was assigned to the Air Transport Squadron and Test Center at Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Maryland. On January 27, 1951 he married the love of his life, Charlotte Tuschl. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Bob returned home and was employed with Invincible Metal Furniture Company in Manitowoc. He partnered with Ron Kaderabek forming K & K Siding Company. After his retirement, he worked part time at Menards and was a sexton at Evergreen Cemetery in Branch, town of Manitowoc Rapids.

Bob was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was a volunteer member of the Branch Fire Department and also a member of the Amvets Post #99. Bob was a great sports enthusiast and was a long time Green Bay Packer fan, thrilled to finally hold season football tickets. He also loved to watch the Milwaukee Brewers.

Bob was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife of 64 years: Charlotte; two sons: Robert (Lucy) Kutil, Branch; Chris (Julie) Kutil, Muskego; two daughters: Kay (Richard) Spielbauer, Fond du Lac; Lisa Kutil, New Berlin; eight grandchildren: Joshua, Matthew, David, Amanda, Jared, Natasha, Janna, and Alyssa; one great granddaughter: Gracie; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ruth Delsman, Rockwood; Marvin (Mona) Tuschl, New Orleans; Gene Winkler, Oshkosh; Tom (Mary) Tuschl, Oshkosh; and Cathy (Jim) Fox, Oshkosh; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Isabel Kutil; one brother: Alvin Kutil; daughter-in-law: Barbara Kutil; sister-in-law: Nancy Winkler; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Roman and Albina Tuschl; brother-in-law: Howard Delsman; and his best friend of 81 years: Herbie Herrmann.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Wald-1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Branch with military rites accorded by the Amvets Post #99. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the military rites at the cemetery there will be a luncheon held for family and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.

The family would like to especially thank Kim and Carol and all of the doctors, nurses, Holy Family Memorial Hospice, and other medical professionals who helped give care and comfort to Bob over the past eighteen months.
