Obituary

Robert "Rob" B. Callahan, age 56, a Mishicot, Wisconsin resident, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 30, 2022 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

He was born June 14, 1966 in Dearborn, Michigan, son of Brian Callahan and Joan (Fedorchuk) Callahan. Rob attended Cony High School, Augusta, Maine, graduating with the class of 1984. Following High School, he furthered his education at Thomas College, Waterville, Maine, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in 1988 and a Master's Degree in 1996, later obtaining a PHD. In 1991, Rob married Carolyn Drouin in Augusta, Maine.  Rob entered the higher education field with two main goals:  to help his students, staff and faculty in any way possible and to become a President. He held various positions in Maine, New York, Ohio and Iowa and then moved to Manitowoc where he fulfilled his goal of becoming president at Holy Family College. Most recently he returned to the classroom to focus on the students as a professor of Business at Lakeland University.

Rob brought positive energy and an infectious spirit to every situation. His smile and laughter were contagious.  Rob was an avid Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys fan. He was an amazing father and husband who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was his daughter's softball team's biggest fan and could be found making his home run sprint giving high fives after every homerun the team hit. Use #highfivesfromheaven when posting a memory about him.

Robert is survived by his wife: Carolyn Callahan; and two children: Jonathan and Katelyn, all of Mishicot; his father: Brian Callahan, Searsport, Maine; his mother: Joan Callahan, Gardiner, Maine; three sisters: Patricia Callahan, Augusta, Maine, Linda (John) Church, Augusta, Maine, and Amanda Callahan (significant other Jerry Arsenault), Vassalboro, Maine; and his mother-in-law: Nancy Drouin, Brunswick, Maine.
