Obituary

Robert "Rob" J. Carriveau, age 61, a Manitowoc resident, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay due to complications from Diabetes.

He was born April 10, 1963 in Marinette, Wisconsin, son of Shirley (Young) Carriveau and the late Robert Carriveau. Rob attended Lincoln High School with the class of 1981. On January 22, 1983, he married Paula Bashaw at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Following high school, Rob obtained his CDL license and was employed with Conveyance and Manitowoc Disposal. He was a Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan as well as an avid fisherman. Rob was also exceptionally skilled at shooting pool and English Darts.

Rob is survived by his wife: Paula (Bashaw) Carriveau; three children: Tanya (Bernard) Pickard, Eric Carriveau (significant other Trista Schultz), and Tammy Carriveau; six grandchildren: Morgan Pickard, Branden Pickard, Kylie Carriveau, Lily Carriveau, Rylee Carriveau, and Gracie Carriveau; his mother: Shirley Carriveau; sister and brother-in-law: Connie (Randy) Heinzen; three nephews: Derek, Daniel, and David (significant other Mara); sister-in-law: Rhonda (Scott) Roedig; aunts and uncles: Bud and Jane Young, Diana Carriveau, and Ron Carriveau; close friend: Freddy; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and other members of the Bashaw and Maples family.  Aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his father: Robert Carriveau; brother: Dan Carriveau; his special buddy, dog: Truman; paternal grandparents: Ed and Irene Carriveau; and maternal grandparents: Harold and Ethel Young; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Dale and Marlene Bashaw; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Following the service, Rob will be laid to rest at Calvary Catholic Mausoleum.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 12:00 p.m. Noon until 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, Manitowoc.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family to help cover Rob's final expenses.
