Robert Casey, age 80, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.

Bob was born on September 7, 1941 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Casmir and Stephanie Pozen Olechnowicz.  He was a graduate of Lang High School in Chicago.  Bob was employed with Salomon Brothers, a privately-held independent investment banking firm headquartered in New York, as Vice-President of Commodities.  He later became self employed as the owner and operator of Plaza Search and Casey and Bolen Horse Vanning.  On April 12, 1980 he married Judith Hammill at North Lake, IL.  Bob had been a member of the Des Plaines Elks Club, he enjoyed watching baseball and football games and on occasion attending some of those events.  He loved go to casinos and gamble.  Horses were a big part of his life where he owned and bred thoroughbred horses for racing and riding.  Bob and his wife Judith rode horses through the Black Hills in South Dakota.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Judith H. Casey, two daughters, Kim (Jim) Bell and Kris Casey; two grandchildren, Katie and Joseph; one great grandson, Kyle Mesnard; along with other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Casmir and Stephanie Olechnowicz.

Private funeral services were held at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 with Chaplain Joseph Zenk officiating.  Cremation followed at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.  Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
