Robert John Herman passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, at age 90. He was born on August 6, 1934, in Manitowoc County to Blanche (Shimon) and Luke Herman, Jr. He attended St. Ann's School in Francis Creek and then graduated from Mishicot High School. Bob then went on to attend US Army Intelligence School at Fort Holibird in Baltimore, MD. He served in the US Army 7th Division and was honorably discharged in 1963. Upon returning from the Army, Bob was employed at Mirro Corp. and retired after 40+ years of service. In his early years, he played baseball on the Francis Creek team in the Manitowoc County League. His love of sports lasted throughout his life, and he loved attending Brewers and Packers games. Bob also enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and traveling. He and his wife Jean visited Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, Iceland, Greece, Russia, Canada, South and Central America, as well as many places in the United States. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Francis Creek, AMVETS of WI Post 99, Fraternal Order of Eagles – Aerie 706, Manitowoc Senior Center, and Two Rivers Senior Center.

Bob was the beloved husband of Jean (Piantek) for 59 years, and dear father of Brian J. Herman. He is also survived by his sister Mary Ann (James) Peroutka, and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Elizabeth (Janczy) Piantek, brother Joseph "Buddy" Herman, and sister-in-law Theresa (Melvin) Kress, as well as aunts and uncles.
