Robert J. Neuman Sr., age 76, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at his residence.

Bob was born on March 24, 1939 in Manitowoc to the late Joseph and Veronica (Heleniak) Neuman. He enlisted with the United States Army and served his country as a medic and marksman. He was honorably discharged in July of 1958. On July 12, 1958, Bob married Carol J. Cherney at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He had worked at the Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry for 40 years until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed spending his time fixing things around the house, watching the news and complaining about politics.

Survivors include Bob's wife: Carol; five children: Randy Neuman, Manitowoc; Bob (Wendy) Neuman Jr., Manitowoc; Lori Neuman, Manitowoc; Debra (Rick) Budda, Rockwood; and Julie (Andy Karbon) Neuman, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Brad, Billy, Justin, Travis, Jessica and Kayla; four great grandchildren: Chase, Bentley, Jayden and Arya; three brothers: Mark Neuman, Milwaukee; Al Neuman, Manitowoc; and Lester Neuman, Wisconsin Rapids: sister: DeDe (Terry) Rank, Manitowoc; nieces: Bonnie Bierman, Diane (Cory) Prindle, and Patsy Meddaugh; very dear friends: Greg and Dorothy Place; special friends: Ricky Bobby and 7; also other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Veronica Neuman; eight siblings; and a son-in-law: Bill Nicholson.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Chaplain Bob Nooker officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Bob's cremated remains to be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m. Following the memorial service, military rites will be accorded by Drews-Bleser American Legion Post 88. Family and friends will then be invited to a dinner held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
