Obituary

Robert L. Teske, age 85, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday morning, February 18, 2024 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.

Bob was born on September 1, 1938 in Manitowoc.  He was the son of the late E. G. and Gertrude Kluczinski Teske. Bob was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1956.  After high school he then joined the United States Air Force from 1956 until 1960.  After receiving his honorable discharge, Bob returned to Manitowoc and became employed at the Aluminum Specialty followed with employment with the Two Rivers City Police Department from 1965 to 1987.  Bob retired on August 4, 1987 from the police department with the rank of Sergeant.  On June 1, 1963 he married Patricia Grey at First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc by Rev. Vernon Anderson.  Bob attended Lakeshore Technical College, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Silver Lake College where he took classes and studied police science.  Bob was a lifetime member of the Wisconsin Professional Police Association, W.L.O.E. Manitowoc Eagles Club, Amvets Post #99, and the Manitowoc Fish and Game.  His hobbies were hunting and fishing but reading was special to him.  Books were always around.  The Chicago Cubs was his favorite major league baseball team.  Bob always put his family first and tried to attend all of his children and grandchildren activities.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia A. Teske, son and daughter-in-law, David and Tohnya Teske, Kiel, daughter and son-in-law, Debra and John Mistele, Pewaukee, six grandchildren, Katelyn (Connor), Jake, Claire, and Lauren Mistele, Paige and Austin Teske, one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Edwin and Jean Zahn and Sandra Kleppe and a special nephew, Robert Zahn, along with other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, E. G. and Gertrude Teske, sister and brother-in-law, Cynda and Elwood Post, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin and Alice Zahn, two sisters-in-law, Judy Zahn and Darlene Thielen, two brothers-in-law, Howard Thielen and Ronald Zahn, and his very best friend, Terry Baugniet.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.  Officiating will be Rev. Andy Wendel.  Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.  Military honors will follow at the funeral home by the AMVETS Post #99.  A luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of the cremated remains at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc.
