Rogelio Rodriguez Herrera passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022 after a long struggle with health related issues.

Rogelio was born August 6, 1967 in Calvillo, Calvillo Aguascalientes, Mexico. Upon graduating from Vicente Guerrero High School, Rogelio ventured beyond Mexico to Santa Paula, California to seek a better future for himself. As a young adult, Rogelio later returned to Mexico where he married Maria A Ramirez with whom he fathered a son and daughter before she passed away after suffering a stroke when Rogelio was 27 years old.

At the age of 31, Rogelio married Maria A Calvillo with whom he fathered a daughter and two sons. Rogelio once again moved to the United States when he was 35 years old to establish a better life for his wife and children, who joined him a year later in Grand Junction, Colorado. The family moved to Manitowoc, Wisconsin three years later where they have resided since.

Rogelio was known as a charismatic man with a positive attitude who loved people and always saw the best in everyone. He was very active and loved the sport of tennis, which he played several times per week before his health declined. He was very close to his family, and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Rogelio is survived by his loving wife Maria A Calvillo Rodriguez, Rogelio Rodriguez Ramirez (son), Cecilia Rodriguez Ramirez (daughter), Norma F Rodriguez Calvillo (daughter), Rodrigo D Rodriguez Calvillo (son), Ivan Rodriguez Calvillo (son), Jayden J Oropeza Rodriguez (grandson), Michael D Oropeza Rodriguez (grandson) and Alexis G Alejandre Rodriguez (grandson) as well as Maria G Rodriguez Herrera (sister), Delia Rodriguez Herrera (sister), Beatriz Rodriguez Herrera (sister), and Maribel Rodriguez Herrera (sister). He was predeceased by his father, Jose G Rodriguez Calvillo, his mother, Maria Herrera Ruiz and his brother Francisco J Rodriguez Herrera.

Memorial services will be held at 7pm on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Chapel, 628 N Water St, Manitowoc, WI.  Rev. David Beaudry will officiate.
