Russell Rhode, age 82, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday afternoon, September 3, 2014 at the care center.

Russell was born on May 30, 1932 in Illinois. He was the son of the late Maynard and Olive Miller Rhode. Russell served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He had been employed with Grey Iron Foundry for over 20 years.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Tim and Liz Rhode, Phoenix, MA; one daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and Ken Irinaga, San Francisco, CA; three grandsons: TJ and Jake Rhode; Benjamin Irinaga; his companion: Elaine Conard, Manitowoc, WI; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Maynard and Olive Rhode; his first wife: Violet; his second wife: Harletta; one brother: Eugene; his twin brother in infancy.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Deacon Bob Beehner with burial to follow at Knollwood Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
