Ruth Ann Long, age 87, of Two Rivers, passed peacefully with her loving family at her side on February 12, 2025.

Ruth was born November 28, 1937, in Ohio, to the late Pearl and Dorris (Youngblood) Walker. She attended schools in Ohio and spent her career working for the State of Ohio as a Juvenile Detention Center Officer.  Ruth married Donald Long and together they had two children. She eventually moved south with her family to Tennessee where she spent her retirement until moving up to Wisconsin. Ruth was an avid reader and loved watching the wild birds, diligently taking care of her many bird feeders. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, especially the time spent sharing a home with her great-grandchildren, Damien and Navi, for the last 7 years.

She is survived by two sons: Don Long, Erwin, TN, and Wes Long, Dublin, OH; grandchildren: Jason Loudermilk, Amelia (Nathan) Gibson, Alysha Long, Kelton Long, Mara (Ethan) Rothacher, Kathryn Long, Maia Long, William Long, Zander Long; and many great-grandchildren. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Pearl and Dorris Walker; a grandbaby; and three siblings: Billy, Jon, and Helen.

Cremation has occurred at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory. In accordance with Ruth's wishes, no services will be held. Online condolences may be submitted by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.
