Sandra L.
Wagner
October 24, 1944 – August 7, 2023
Sandra L. Wagner, age 78, a resident of Manitowoc, peacefully entered eternal life on Monday, August 7, 2023 at her home.
Sandy was born on October 24, 1944 in Manitowoc to the late Fred and Loretta (Spaeth) Truettner. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1962, and then went on to complete her education at Manitowoc County Teachers College. On July 10, 1965, Sandy married Emmett Wagner at Wesley United Methodist Church in Manitowoc. She was an excellent stay at home mother and homemaker, and also had owned and operated her own alteration business for many years. Throughout Sandy's life, her church and faith were of the utmost importance to her. She was a master gardener and also enjoyed spending her time crafting and playing cards (competitively!). Above all, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends – especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include Sandy's husband of 58 years, Emmett; three children, Dan (Tina) Wagner, Dave (Tricia) Wagner, and Kristin Wagner; eight grandchildren, Olivia, Ian, Jack, Sarah (James), Jacob, Nicole, Robert (Katie), and Katie (fiancé Sean); two great grandchildren, Myles and Oaklynn; another two great grandchildren on the way that Sandy was very proud of; three brothers, Fred (Lonnie) Truettner, Gary (Joan) Truettner, and Don (Martha) Truettner; sister-in-law, Barb; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Loretta Truettner; and brother, Keith.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 411 Reed Avenue, Manitowoc. Pastor Cherie Forret and Pastor Carly Kuntz will officiate.
