Sara Jane Brouchoud, age 79, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life while surrounded by her family on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

Sara Jane was born to the late Jerome and Irma (Stevens) Nelson.  After attending Lincoln High School, Sara Jane had worked in sales in a variety of different industries.  Some of her favorite times working was when she had moved to Waikiki, Hawaii where she worked as a sales agent at an art dealership and sang on weekends at a beachfront resort.  Upon returning from Hawaii, she worked at WBAY and concluded her working career at the Better Business Bureau.  Sara Jane enjoyed spending her time making jewelry, doing arts and crafts, painting, and being with her family.

Survivors include Sara Jane's soulmate of over 60 years, Norb Brouchoud, Manitowoc; son, Michael (Terri) Brouchoud, Maribel; three grandchildren, Matthew (Naomi) Wilson, Reedsville; Adam (Brittany) Brouchoud, Maribel; and Danaille Brouchoud, Green Bay; and five great grandchildren, Nolan and Eden Wilson, Lilian, Hailey, and Landyn Brouchoud; sister, Jerilyn Hawthorne, Farmington, NM; also other relatives and friends.  Sara Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Irma Nelson; sister, Elizabeth Bennett; and brother, Gene Nelson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.  Rev. Dr. Matthew Sauer will officiate with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum at a later date.  A luncheon for family and friends will then be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
