Scott V. Schultz, age 63, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at his home.
He was born June 13, 1960, son of the late Gerald and Mary Schultz. Scott attended Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 1979. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army Reserves. Scott was a highly skilled journeyman millwright for over 30 years. He was a member of the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Scott often worked at Point Beach Nuclear Plant, and traveled nationally and internationally, including Korea, where he practiced his trade. He was smart, passionate, and talented when it came to building, woodworking, and mechanics. Scott's hobbies included fishing, hunting, motorcycling, listening to music and attending concerts. He will also be remembered for his great sense of humor and his ability to joke and make people laugh. Scott had many friends and was incredibly generous with his time. He was always available to help his family, friends, and neighbors in need.
Survivors include his two sisters: Patty Darling (Tryggvi Magnusson) and Pam (Mike) Olson; nieces and nephews: Tony and Michael Darling, Ellie and Jack Olson, and Natalie Magnusson; a special uncle that he often hunted with: John Witte; as well as other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle: Bob Schultz; aunts: Nancy Putz and Linda Witte; and cousin: Julie Nichols; as well as other relatives and friends.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 North Water Street, Manitowoc. Scott will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. Following the funeral services there will be a luncheon for family and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated in Scott's name to Peter's Pantry, 843 South 21st Street, Manitowoc, WI 54220.
