Sharon K. Boyd, age 69, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, and formerly of 1800 Jefferson Street, Two Rivers went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 26, 2010.
Sharon was born on November 29, 1940 in Black River Falls to the late Lawrence and Gladys Hanson Anderson. On December 31, 1964, Sharon married Walter "Spike" Boyd. Spike preceded her in death on June 9, 2004. Sharon was a very accomplished artist and enjoyed spending her time drawing. Above all, she devoted her time to her family.
Survivors include her two children: Derek (Liz) Boyd, Two Rivers and Andrea (Dave) Bergelin, New York; eight grandchildren: Cassie Boyd, Zach Boyd, John (Angie) Brish, Daniel Brish, Meagan Brish, Lexi Boyd, Tess Bergelin, and Andrew Bergelin; three great grandchildren: Kaden, Sabastian, and Kale; two brothers: Dick (Sharon) Anderson and Mike Anderson; four sisters: Bonnie (Jerry) Lau, Pat (Al) Strigens, Jeanine Rondone, and Linda Bremmer; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will greet relatives and friends at Faith Evangelical Free Church, 2201 South 42nd Street, Manitowoc on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 11 am until the beginning of the memorial service at noon. Pastor Jeremy Vance will officiate.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Sharon's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Edward Barylak, all the staff of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, and also the entire Aurora VNA Hospice team for the care and compassion they provided to Sharon.
