Obituary

Sharon A. Hoppe, age 76, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, December 16, 2019, at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Sharon was born on August 26, 1943 in Sheboygan. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Elsie Neuwirth Hoppe.  Sharon attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1962.  She then became employed with the United Savings and Loan for several years.  Sharon then went to California and became employed as a security guard at the Del Mar Horse Track for 20 years.  In 2016 she returned to Manitowoc and worked as a crossing guard for the City of Manitowoc.  Sharon was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Charles Bonin, Manitowoc, and one brother, Howard Hoppe, El Dorado Hills, CA, one nephew, Chad Bonin, one niece, Stacey (Steven) Wallander, and two grand nieces, Arissa and Bryannan. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Elsie Hoppe.

Sharon's wishes were to have a private memorial service which will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel on Thursday, January 2, 2020 with Rev. Judine Duerwaechter officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
