Shawn "Gibby" Michael Gilbertson, age 48 of Collins, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly on November 15, 2024. He was born August 21, 1976, in Manitowoc to Donald and Linda (Anderson) Gilbertson.

Shawn graduated from Valders High School in 1994. He then became a welder for the majority of his career. He was a loving father to his children and had a passion for working on cars, woodworking, welding, model ships, cars, and Bald Eagles. He loved singing and dancing along to the Grease soundtrack, The Beatles, and anything on his records. His love for movies was shared with his children, filling up an entire closet of DVDs and VHS tapes always ready to be watched. He also loved spending time with his twin brother, Steve, restoring the Monte Carlo, and Shawn loved making everyone smile and laugh.

Shawn is survived by his parents Donald and Linda (Anderson) Gilbertson; his children Gwendylen, Gabriella, and Gavin Gilbertson; his two sisters and brother; Lisa (Tyler) Schucknecht, Nicole (Scott) Zucchi, and Steven (Beth) Gilbertson; along with many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Celebration of Shawn's Life will be held at Rockland Town Hall, 615 Milwaukee St, Collins, WI 54207, on December 7, 2024, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3:30.
