Sherman O. Edwards, age 90, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Friday, June 15, 2018 at his residence.

Sherman was born on August 7, 1927 in Grimms, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late John and Lillian Grimm Edwards.  Sherman was employed with Brillion Iron Works, Hardees for 14 years, Prange Way for 11 years, and was a partner at Thrifty Cleaners in Manitowoc from 1971 to 1990.  On February 3, 1951 he married Joan Elliott at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc.  She preceded him in death on June 23, 1990.  Sherman had been a little league baseball coach and had a great love for the game of baseball.  He enjoyed deer hunting and following the Chicago Cubs baseball team and the Minnesota Viking football team.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law: Rick and Tracey Edwards, Kingman, AZ; one daughter:  Bonnie Granger, Manitowoc; four grandchildren:  Tom, Jim, Don, Misty; three step grandchildren:  Zachary, Tanner and Madison; eight grandchildren:  Kristina, Ryan, Nicholas, Callie, Gabrielle, Jasmine, Alexis, and Isabella; two great grandchildren, special friend:  Mary Hock, Manitowoc; other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lillian Edwards, and his wife, Joan.

Private graveside services will be held on Wednesday morning, June 20, 2018 at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc with Deacon Alan Boeldt officiating. Following the graveside service there will be a luncheon held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
