Shirley Meyers, age 89, a resident of St. Mary's Home at Felician Village, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday evening, August 15, 2016, at St. Mary's Home.

Shirley was born on November 28, 1926 in Kenosha. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Marie Mayer Bresnahan. Shirley was a graduate of St. Catherine's High School in Racine with the class of 1944. She had been employed as a legal secretary for Time Insurance Company in Milwaukee from where she retired in December 1989. On October 18, 1947 she married Eugene T. Meyers in Kenosha. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2007. Shirley was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

She is survived by six children: Paul (Ronita) Meyers, Seabrook, TX; Maureen (Tom) Lechner, Fremont; Christine (Charles) Herzog, Manitowoc; Patricia (Mike) Pietrowski, Seattle, WA; Mark (Monica) Meyers, Wisconsin Dells; John P. (Patricia Blackburn) Meyers, Kingwood, TX; fifteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Marie Bresnahan; husband: Eugene Meyers; two infant children at birth: daughter, Suzanne and son, John C. Meyers.

Memorial services will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Blessed Angela Chapel at St. Mary Home at Felician Village, 1635 South 21st Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gerald Foley. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Relatives and friends may call at the Blessed Angela Chapel at St. Mary's Home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 11:30 a.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
