Shirley J. (Schneider) Nadeau, age 76, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village in Manitowoc.
Shirley was born on July 26, 1936 in Sheboygan to the late Alvin and Carolyne Reinert Schneider. She graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1954. On May 10, 1955, Shirley married Joseph F. Nadeau Sr. at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. She was a member of First German Ev. Lutheran Church.
Survivors include Shirley's husband of 58 years: Joseph; six children: Kathy Bruce, Westfield, MA; Debora Nadeau, Sheboygan; Linda (Buddy) Griffin, Adel, GA; Joseph Nadeau, Jr., Kevin (Pat) Nadeau, and James (Beth) Nadeau, Sr., all of Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Kenneth Hartfield, Manitowoc; sister-in-law: Barbara Schneider, Sheboygan; several nieces and nephews; also her loving dog, Sammy. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents: Alvin and Carolyne Schneider; two brothers: Lester and Rueben; one sister: LaVerne Hartfield; sister-in-law: Aggie Schneider.
Funeral services will held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at First German Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Christopher Hoppe will officiate with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. The family will greet relatives and friends at First German Ev.
