Obituary

Siegfried (Zeke) O. Tittl, age 87, a resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, WI formerly of 864 South Rapids Road, Manitowoc, entered eternal life Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home.

Zeke was born April 6, 1925 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Ludwig and Martha Kautz Tittl. Zeke was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1943. He entered the United States Navy and served overseas in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. After his honorable discharge he returned to Manitowoc. Zeke was employed as a carpenter through the Local Carpenters Union #731. He worked for the union for 50 years retiring in 1988. On October 30, 1948 he married Esther M. Check in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on January 3, 2003. Zeke was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

He is survived by five children: Thomas (Julie) Tittl, Manitowoc; Mary Terens, Manitowoc; Mark Tittl, Manitowoc; Susan (John) Worley, San Francisco, CA; John (Nancy) Tittl, Fort Worth, TX; four grandchildren: Jeff Terens, Kathy Terens, Stacy (Mike) Weems; Holly (Joe) Richardson; five great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Rita Tittl, Manitowoc; Lois Tittl, Two Rivers, WI; two sisters: Ruth (Paul) Arndt, Manitowoc; Elizabeth Linn, Sacramento, CA; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ludwig and Martha Tittl; his wife: Esther; two brothers: Frederick and Clarence Tittl.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Marshall. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen. Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Manitowoc. Following the graveside services there will be a luncheon for family and friends to attend at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Marshall on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00.
