Steve M. Hecker, age 69, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

He was born January 26, 1956 in Appleton, son of the late Mathias and Shirley (Kolb) Hecker. Steve attended Menasha High School, and joined the United States Army National Guard, serving 22 years. As a hobby, he was a backyard mechanic and loved tinkering on things. He also enjoyed doing anything outdoors, including hunting with his dad and fishing. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his parents when they were still living.

Steve is survived by his son: Alex Hecker; his grandson: Atticus Hecker; his siblings and their families: Linda Wadel, Sandy (Bob) Mader, Chris (Iye) Hecker, and Mike (Kathy) Hecker; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mathias and Shirley Hecker and his brother-in-law: Wally Wadel.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
