Obituary

Steven John Holly of Manitowoc, Wisconsin, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 14, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Steve was born December 29, 1953, in Rockford, Illi-nois to the late Joanne Stanul-Holly and John Holly. He attended Reedsville High school, grad-uating in 1972. Steve went on to further his education at Lakeshore Technical College; earning his Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences. Steve was a very knowledgable man and worked at many well-known companies. He retired from the Mirro group as a computer administrator. He married his soulmate and love Darlene in Bellview, Florida and went on to celebrate and make many wonderful memories together. Steve had a great love for the outdoors including photog-raphy, fishing, and observing the beauty of nature surrounding him. He enjoyed cider, beer, and wine making. He had a love for the culinary arts and enjoyed cooking. His love of technology and computer science never wavered and he was also an avid "Trekkie". He also enjoyed rooting for the Packers each season. Steven adored his grandkids with a love that was unsurmountable. He also adored their two dogs Zander and Nikki. Steven had a strong faith in the Lord that comforted him in his last days.

Steve is survived by his loving wife: Darlene (Cline) Holly, Manitowoc; mother-in-law: Shirley Kahnert, Manitowoc; sister: Sheila Free, Manitowoc; brother: Craig (Sandy) Sladkey, North Carolina; children: Dean (Jamie) Holly, Manitowoc; Julia (Matt) Lawrence, Sheboygan; Brooke Paquette-Holly and her Fiancé Matt Murphy, Manitowoc; Michael Meredith and his Fiancé Kym-berly Kobylarz, Jacksonville, FL; Grandkids: Erin, Alex, Michael Jr., Collette, Tyler, Blair, Brielle, Madison, Casey, Ryan, Brooklynn, Vanessa and Logan; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother: Joanne Sladkey; father: John Holly; grandparents: Emily and Tim Bors; and great grandmother: Molly Yindra.

Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. There will be a memorial service and celebration of Steve's life held at River Park, Lagoon #4, 101 Western Ave, Sheboygan Falls, WI on Saturday May 23rd, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm for friends and family to attend. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Steve's loving friends Bill and Kelly Murphy, and the staff at Aurora Medical Centers.
