Steven J. Ignera, age 62, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Friday, November 7, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers following a battle with liver cancer.

He was born September 4, 1963 in Manitowoc, son of Mary Ann (Gruber) Ignera and the late Kenneth Ignera. Steve attended Roncalli High School, graduating with the class of 1981. He continued his education at UW Manitowoc, LTC, and Fox Valley Technical College. On April 23, 1988 he married Lori R. Wellner at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. She preceded him in death on October 6, 2021. He was employed with Manitowoc Parks and Recreation Department.

Steve is survived by his mother: Mary Ann Ignera; two brothers: Robert Ignera and Mike (Laura) Ignera; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lori Ignera; his father: Kenneth Ignera; and his sister: Kathy.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and Steve will be laid to rest next to his wife Lori at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
