Susan J. Hynek, age 63, of 5619 Quail Circle, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the family residence with her family by her side.
Susan was born on May 31, 1947 in Menominee, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Esther Borgens Renier. Susan was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1965. She had been a long time employee of Paragon Electric and most recently at the University of Wisconsin Extension in Manitowoc. On July 22, 1967 she married Eugene Hynek in Manitowoc. Susan was a member of Hope Community Church where she was active with the bible study group, Newcomers Lunchoen and the Military Ministry. She enjoyed her flower gardening, crocheting and time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Susan had a very strong faith and enjoyed the relationship she had with the members of Hope Community Church.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years: Gene; three daughters and sons-in-law: LeeRae and John Coenen, Manitowoc; Heidi and Craig Kapinos, Valders; Tammy and Robert Bast, Sheboygan Falls; five grandchildren: Jacob Coenen, Tamlyn Coenen, Katie Kapinos, Sophie Bast and Samuel Bast; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Ruth Ann and Richard Heinz, Raleigh, North Carolina; Helen and Michael Carr, Mount Orab, Ohio; one brother and sister-in-law: Michael and Barb Renier, Tucson, Arizona; one brother-in-law: Norman Oelke, Manitowoc; her special pet dog: Josie; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister-in-law: LaVerne Oelke; her dog Toffee.
Memorial services will be held 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Hope Community Church, 4408 County Trunk B, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Hines. Relatives and friends are asked to share joyous and happy memories in celebration of Susan's life at the visitation which will be held on Sunday from 2:00 pm until the time of services at 4:00 pm. at Hope Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to a memorial fund that is being established in Susan's name.
