Susan A. Jahn, age 70, found peace and an end to her health struggles on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
Susan was born on November 9, 1951 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late James and Dolores "Odie" Marlborough Kautzer. On December 23, 1970 she married Richard L. Jahn at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. Susan was a graduate of St. Gregory High School in St. Nazianz. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Education. Susan then furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she graduated with a Master's Degree in School Counseling. She was employed at Southern Door Elementary School in Brussels. Susan was very devoted and dedicated to her school children. Susan was a very caring person and supportive of those who were less fortunate. She had a love for dogs all of her life and rescued many dogs and brought them into her home to give them a place that was filled with love and attention. Susan was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church where she also served as a lector.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dick, two brothers and five sisters, Dennis Kautzer, Appleton, Jane (Toby) Berkovitz, Suamico, Cindy (Russ) Szymek, Muskego, Julie Kautzer, Manitowoc, Mike (Joy) Kautzer, Whitelaw, Lynn (Dennis) Harrigan, Manitowoc, and Kay (Mark) Wenzel, Suamico, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dolores "Odie" Kautzer, brother-in-law, Gene Sperber, and one niece and nephew, twins Cassandra and Matthew Kautzer.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022, at St. Louis Catholic Church-Dyckesville, N8726 County Line Road, Luxemburg. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Rommel Dacoco. Relatives and friends may call at St. Louis Catholic Church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. A luncheon will follow at the parish fellowship hall. Cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel in Manitowoc. Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.
Susan had a strong belief in her faith and she felt nothing was impossible with His love and ours for each other.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11 th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
