Suzanne H. Freyer, age 89, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Suzanne was born on March 19, 1926 in Green Bay. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Olga Zibell Vander Zanden. Suzanne was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1943. She continued her education at Northwestern University from where she graduated in 1946. On May 8, 1948 she married C. W. "Duff" Freyer. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2009. Suzanne was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Olga Vander Zanden; husband: C. W. "Duff" Freyer; and one sister: Mary Taylor.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
