Thomas D. Berger, age 72, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Care Partners Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Tom was born on December 14, 1949 in Manitowoc to the late Clarence and Dolores (Willmas) Berger.  After graduating from Lincoln High School, he furthered his education by obtaining his certification as a Tool and Die Maker.  Tom worked his entire career at Weyerhauser Paper Company in Manitowoc.  He stayed busy in his retirement years by working part-time at Marathon Gas Station on Washington Street in Manitowoc.  Tom was known as an avid bowler.  He was a dedicated fan of the Wisconsin sports teams.  Above all, Tom enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends – especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include Tom's two sons, Christopher Berger and Craig Berger, both of Manitowoc; two grandchildren, Desmond and Maxwell; two sisters, Vicki (Jim) Karbon and Eileen (Randy) Junk, all of Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, the mother of his children, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.  Deacon Alan Boeldt will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Tom's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
