Toby A. Monka, age 43, of 808 Forest Circle, Manitowoc, entered eternal life Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the family residence.
Toby was born February 7, 1969 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He was the son of Joyce Halverson Monka Dokey and the late Bruce J. Monka. Toby was a graduate of Lincoln High School. After high school Toby established a partnership in business with Steve Franz operating Home Improvements for 18 years. He then became employed with Burger Boat Company for 7 years, a company he was very proud to work for. Toby was known for his expertise and talent with his carpenter skills. He loved spending time with his daughter and family and many friends. Toby was also an avid Green Bay Packer football fan.
He is survived by his fiancé: Rhonda Martin; one daughter: Shelby Monka, Manitowoc; his mother: Joyce Dokey, Manitowoc; one brother: Todd Monka, Manitowoc; two sisters: Tammi Rusch, Green Bay, WI; Tracy (John) Terans, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Bruce J. Monka; one sister: Terry Weston on July 24, 2012.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Kim Henning. Cremation will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m.
The family requests donations to be made to a memorial fund that is being established in Toby's name.
