Vyvian "Viv" Irene (Yunk) DeGroot, 89, of Manitowoc, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Heartland Hospice.

She was born in Somers on November 5, 1931 to the late Marvin and Wilma (Schacht) Yunk.  Viv was married to Richard Miller and later to Richard DeGroot, both have preceded her in death.  She worked as a homemaker while her children were growing up and also was an associate at F.W. Woolworth.  Viv enjoyed reading, crafts, sewing, and creating dolls to share with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah (Charles) Abel; grandson, Michael (Becky) Owen; great-grandchild, Taylor Owen; granddaughter, Elizabeth Roberts; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Logan, Megan, and Cara Roberts; grandson, Jeremiah Owen; granddaughter, Susan Marie Owen; son, Peter DeGroot; grandson, Eric (Jayna) DeGroot; great-grandchildren, Kinley, Madelyn, and Rebecca DeGroot; granddaughter, Nicole (David) Bishop; great-grandchild, Jackson Bishop; granddaughter, Sarah (Steven) Taylor; great-grandchild, Raelind; grandson, Alex (Melissa) Henn; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Laylah-Rai, Karissa, Summer, and Cooper Henn; daughter, Brenda (Sam) Giannola; son, Richard (Mary) DeGroot; grandson, Nicolas (Lisa) DeGroot; great-grandchildren, Kate, Nicholas, Penelope, Lucy, and Cora DeGroot; granddaughter, Amanda (Benjamin) Graham; great-grandchildren, Koal, Creek, Lakin, and Jasper Graham; daughter, Linda (Michael) Valdez, granddaughter, Cassandra Valdez; great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Lia, and Michael; granddaughters, Carly Valdez and Michelle (Jeffery) Mosbauer; great-grandchildren, Mikenna, Madelyn, and Edith; daughter, Elizabeth (Bruce) Campbell; grandson, Christopher (Lisa) Campbell; great-grandchild, Owen Campbell; son, Joseph DeGroot; and sister, Marilyn Thoreson.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Miller and Richard DeGroot; parents, Marvin and Wilma Yunk; granddaughter, Susan Owen; great-grandchildren, Michal Nacion and Jasper Graham; sister, Alice (Donald) Sheckler; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Thoreson.
