Obituary

Wayne P. Kadow, age 83, a resident of the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 2018 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Friday evening, May 9, 2014 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center where he resided the past three months.

Wayne was born February 20, 1931 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late George F. and Marie F. Allen Kadow. Wayne was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. He continued his education at the Manitowoc Vocational School studying tool and dye design. On October 3, 1951 he entered the United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Hawaii. After two years Wayne was honorably discharged and returned to Manitowoc. He was employed at Eck Industries for over 40 years retiring in 1996. On June 28, 1958 he married Lotus J. Dubey at Wesley United Methodist Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on September 25, 2006. Wayne was a member of Lakeshore United Methodist Church where he was very active having served on many committees over the years. He was also active with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in Manitowoc. Starting at a very young age, Wayne developed a passion and love for the circus. During the summer months, Wayne along with his grandchildren and brother Bob, would attend many circus events throughout the state. He had a great love of the outdoors, traveling and camping throughout Wisconsin.

Wayne is survived by three sons: Kevin (Ok Chin) Kadow, Boulder Junction, WI; Allen (Cindi) Kadow, Manitowoc, WI; and Gregg (Joanne) Kadow, Manitowoc, WI; six grandchildren: Josh, Kim, Ethan, Zachary, Matthew, and Laurel; two great grandchildren: Frankie and Jackson; two sisters: Merlyne Kadow, Manitowoc, WI; Karen (Dave) Konop, Two Rivers, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends and his pet dog, Sparky. He was preceded in death by his parents: George and Marie Kadow; wife: Lotus; one brother: Robert.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 1130 South 9th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev's. Thomas Dunham and Nancy Dvorachek with burial to follow at Knollwood Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post #659. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Thursday at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 1130 South 9th Street, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
