Obituary

William L. Jarosh, age 87, a life-long resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Bill was born on May 7, 1925 in Manitowoc to the late Joseph and Anita Shimek Jarosh. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1943. On September 14, 1946, William married Dorothe A. Kutil at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He had retired from the Foley Company after 33 years. Bill's greatest joys were working in his flower and vegetable gardens – especially growing his famous black radishes. He also enjoyed traveling, camping, playing baseball in his younger years, and dog sitting his daughter and son-in-law's two golden retrievers, Chester and Willy. William took pride in religiously flying the flag every day.

Survivors include William's wife of 66 years: Dorothe; daughter: Nancy (James) Schiegg, Oshkosh; two brothers: Bob (Bee) Jarosh, Manitowoc, and Ted (Rose) Jarosh, Neenah; sister-in-law: Elinor A. Marks, Melbourne, FL; also numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by two brothers: Joe (Betty) Jarosh and Dan (Germaine) Jarosh; two sisters: Janet (Carl) Rosinsky and Beverly (Jim) Watruba; and one brother-in-law: Clinton W. Marks.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Rev. Richard Klingeisen will officiate. Cremation will have taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Bill's cremated remains at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center on the south property of the funeral home. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
