Obituary

William H. Lange, age 76, of 2706 33rd Street, Two Rivers, WI formerly of Old 139 Road, Newald, WI entered eternal life early Monday morning, July 19, 2010 at the family residence with his wife, sister and children by his side.

Bill was born on March 26, 1934 in Kingsford, Michigan. He was the son of the late Walter H. and Mary Tremain Lange. Bill was a graduate of Kingsford High School with the class of 1952. He continued his education here in Manitowoc at the Lakeshore Technical Institute where he took night classes for welding. He was employed with Mirro Aluminum, then 4 years with construction work and then he came to Manitowoc Shipbuilding as a welder/fitter for 26 years retiring in 1995. On July 29, 1952 he married Janice M. Benoit in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Bill was a former member and volunteer for the Shoto Fire Department and the Shoto Conservation Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Bill was also a very avid Green Bay Packer fan until they played the Detroit Lions when his loyalty switched to the Loins.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Janice; 5 children: Patricia (Kenneth) Kulpa, Two Rivers; Maryjane (Ken) Bruning, Kansas City, Kansas; Arthur (Debbie) Lange, town of Two Rivers; Paul (Monique-Campos) Lange, Franklin, Wisconsin; Linda (Jack) Eis, town of Two Rivers; 1 sister: Delores Johnson, Iron Mountain, Michigan; 5 grandchildren: Jason Kulpa and his significant other Jennifer Quistorf, Two Rivers; Renae (Rob) Specht, Two Rivers; Michelle Eis, Kansas City, Kansas; Angela Eis, Manitowoc; Jennifer Eis and significant other Stephen Krejcarek, Two Rivers; 4 great grandchildren: Isaac, Jesse, Kari and Kati Specht; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother: Walter Lange, Jr.

Memorial services will be held 5:00 pm Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Johannes. Cremation will have taken place. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00 pm until the time of services at 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial to be directed to the American Lung Association.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Aurora VNA Hospice for the care they gave to Bill and his family.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
