Obituary

William E. Pollack, age 82, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Tender Reflections Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Bill was born on June 27, 1937 in Rhinelander to the late Martin and Dorothy (Piasecki) Pollack.  He graduated from Three Lakes High School with the class of 1955.  Bill then enlisted in the United States Navy in 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1958.  On June 8, 1957, Bill married Patricia Rank at St. James Catholic Church in Monico.  He had worked at Hamilton Industries in Two Rivers for 42 years until his retirement in 2000.  Bill enjoyed spending his time fishing, gardening, hiking, travelling, photography, listening to and telling a good story.  He was known for his kindness and generosity, and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include Bill's wife of 62 years, Pat; two children, Michael (Karrie) Pollack, Longmont, CO; and Karen Pollack, Madison; two grandchildren, Maggie (Devin) Huizingh, Greeley, CO; and Erin (Kyle) Flannigan, Charleston, WV; seven great grandchildren,  Jessa, Calvin, and Joy Huizingh; Israel, Iva, Ingrid and Isaac Flannigan; brother, Charles (Kathy) Pollack; three sisters, Marie Yike, Nancy Keso, and Patricia (Jim) Schober; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Bill was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore (Rita) Pollack and Ronald Pollack; sister, Suzanne (Eugene) Jenkins; and two brothers-in-law, Wesley Yike and Norman Keso.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Deacon Rich Bahnaman will officiate with cremation to take place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel at a later date. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held for family and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Bill's name which will be used for research to cure Parkinson's disease.

Bill's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of Tender Reflections for being so good to Bill with the care and compassion they provided.  Also, special thanks to Heartland Hospice for their extensive compassionate care.
