William "Willie" R. Holdorf, age 88, formerly of Manitowoc, passed away on May 10, 2023 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

He was born December 28, 1934, son of the late Reinhold and Mildred (Holdorf) Holtz. William graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the United States Army. He married Arline Johnson on November 15, 1958. She preceded him in death on December 11, 1996. On may 1, 1999, he married Priscilla Bauch. William was employed with Spindler Co., Wingfield Oil, Holmes Oil, Coonen Inc., and Quality State Oil. He was active with Kenny's Athletic Club. He also was active with the Royal Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, where he served on the board and was equipment manager and a chaperone.

William is survived by his wife: Priscilla Holdorf; two children: Julie (Scott) Gilbert and Steig (Laurie) Holdorf; three grandchildren: Tyler Gilbert (Jordynn), Eric (Lindsey) Holdorf, and Emilee Holdorf; two great-grandchildren: Alayna Holdorf and Ethan Holdorf; one sister: Charlotte Gagner; and three half brothers: Ronald Holtz, Russell Holdorf, and Thomas Holdorf. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife: Arline; one son: Robert Holdorf; one sister and brother-in-law: Marilyn (Arthur) Fuller; and one brother: Jack Holtz.

Cremation has occurred and a celebration of William's life will take place from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Eagles Club, 823 Hamilton Street, Manitowoc. He will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.
