Obituary

William C. Sabin, age 81, a Manitowoc resident, entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Bill was born on August 3, 1929 in Freeport, IL to the late Ralph and Nellie Klocke Sabin. He graduated from Freeport High School with the class of 1948. On August 30, 1948, Bill married Shirley Morden at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Freeport, IL. He then became a member of the Illinois National Guard. Bill began his employment with Hawes Beverage Company in Freeport, then became production manager at Pepsi Cola Company in Rockford, IL, and completed his working career with Imperial Eastman from where he retired. Bill loved fishing with his family and friends. He enjoyed the time he was able to spend at his cabin on Shawano Lake. Bill also enjoyed time spent on Lake Michigan, gardening, and being with his family.

Survivors include wife of 63 years: Shirley; three children: Cynthia (Mike) Rudolf, Bradenton, FL; Lori (Dennis) Klaas, Roscoe, IL; and Bill (Tina) Sabin, Manitowoc; 10 grandchildren: Melvin Robar, Amie Wingate, T.J. Rudolf, April Kenney, Lindsey Johnson, Tim Klaas, Anne Edwards, Christopher Sabin, Nicole Downing, and Elizabeth Sabin; five great grandchildren: Cody Wingate, Jayden Johnson, Teagan Klaas, Ella Heilmann, and Lila Edwards; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Barbara Sabin; one grandson: Michael John Klaas; two brothers; and four sisters.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 2 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4 pm. Deacon Paul Kieffer will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Bill's name to the Manitowoc's Lakeshore Humane Society.
